“Feeling crispy, burnt out, over it, it’s just too much to handle.”

If these statements resonate with you, then stress has become an all too familiar part of your life.

You feel like you don’t have enough time to do all the things on your list.  Tasks are piling up and you shut down or do nothing instead.  Work overwhelms your thoughts and affects your mood even when you’re not there.

Stress is impacting all the important areas in your life-work, relationships, time with your family and even your free time.  The boundaries of a work/life balance are blurred.  You want to feel better, but it seems like it’s one thing after another.

It can feel defeating and you know it’s been impacting your mood, thoughts and interactions with others.  It’s hard to enjoy any downtime you get because your mind wanders to all the things that still have to get done.  You know something has to change.

When we experience stress we rely on what’s familiar, even if it doesn’t help us feel better.

I am here to help you learn and gain new tools to break free from this cycle. With less stress in your life you’ll have time and energy back on your side.  You can feel proud about what you’re accomplishing instead of focusing on the next item on your to-do list.  You can balance work and personal time without guilt or pressure to do more. Your day-to-day life won’t feel so daunting, better yet it will become something that you can look forward to again.

In therapy together we’ll start by learning about your stress.  It’s an important first step as causes of and the impact of stress are different for everyone. By understanding what your triggers are for stress and the areas in your life that are most effected we can make a plan to control it.

We’ll set goals and identify small steps and things you can start doing between sessions so that you can feel better as quickly as possible.  We will build on your strengths and identify relaxation strategies or activities that bring peace and calm.

I can’t guarantee that you won’t experience stress again (it’s a part of being human), but after we work together you will have the resources you need to manage future stress.

  • Absolutely. When we start our work together I will initially ask you questions about general life history so I can get an understanding of who you are.
